Smt. Shashi Soni – Indian Entrepreneur, Social Activist, and Philanthropist

Smt. Shashi Soni is associated with BJP – Bharatiya Janata Party as a staunch supporter and member and she is looking forward to serve the nation, and do social welfare with the support of the party. She is also part of Deep Janseva Samiti which has made immense contributions to society under her guidance, by providing organized jobs, teaching ladies, launching pension schemes, raising funds for physically handicapped, etc.

Skill Development Program
The skill development program initiated out of her willingness to do good for society has taught slum dwellers different skills according to their capabilities and encourage them to earn a good living for themselves. The program is also educating ladies and under privileged children so that they can live a better life.

Smt. Shashi Soni’s journey started from being a house lady in the early 70’s when she came up with business ideas. She started Deep Transport (1971-1975) with rupees 10,000 in hand, and later Deep Mandir Cinema (1975-1980), the first AC Cinema in Mulund, Mumbai, the initial stages of business got her to fight the odds and struggle in the dark till the time she successfully established Deep Oxygen Pvt. Ltd., the first industrial gas manufacturer in Mysore, and changed the face of small scale gas manufacturing.

She is now the chairperson of IZMO LTD., the world leader in interactive marketing solutions. Her company offers hi-tech automotive and e-retailing solutions in North America, Europe and Asia, and had been listed in BSE and NSE. 

What started off with Rs.10,000 in-hand has now become a $500 million enterprise. She continues to create great wealth not just for her family but also for hundreds of her shareholders and employees.
 
She has been the recipient of prestigious awards and recognition in the fields of business and social welfare, including the Mahila Gaurav Puraskar in 1990 for contributing to Indian Industry. She became a Managing Committee member of the All Indian Industrial Gas Manufacturing Association and also a member of the Directorate of Technical Development.
